Doris Team
Apache Doris is developed and maintained by contributors distributed around the world, following the open governance model of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF). Community roles fall into three categories, each with different permissions and responsibilities.
Community Roles
| Role | Permissions and Responsibilities |
|---|---|
| PMC (Project Management Committee) | Members of the Project Management Committee, responsible for the project's overall direction, version releases, community governance, and the nomination and voting of new Committers and PMC members |
| Committer | Active contributors with commit access to the code repository, responsible for reviewing and merging code, documentation, issues, and PRs |
| Contributor | All contributors who participate in the community through PRs, issues, documentation, evangelism, Q&A, and other forms of contribution |
If you want to learn about the path from Contributor to Committer or PMC, see the Contributor Growth Path.
